Real-time Streaming

Conventional Internet servers of the type used in the millions by Google, Amazon and CDNs such as Akamai were designed for transferring generic web content, not for streaming high-resolution live video.

Specifically, those Internet servers lack the technologies that are fundamental to real-time media streaming and thus, problematically, cannot transmit millions of media packets per second with low latency (nor with other essential characteristics of high-quality media viewing, such as low jitter).

In contrast a purpose-built, real-time media streaming system based on a foundation of networking protocols and media containers that produce low-latency, low-jitter, highly scalable, secure IP packet transmissions
